Despite a strong brand personality and high demand, the hotels lacked a centralized online presence to express their mission of being a place where a vacation can be a celebration.
Their Beach House and Atlantic Oceanside properties relied almost exclusively on social media and third-party Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) for visibility and bookings. With two distinct hotels under one brand, there was no cohesive space to showcase their shared "festive personality" or prime beachside locations.
Style Guide (Simplified)
With a light brand stylesheet provided by the client, I was able to come up with a solution for an element which could express celebration and be added to their branding guide for other products or marketing materials.
When I deconstructed their logo, I thought it would be fun if the tiles were seen more like confetti. Keeping the rigid nature of the logo, the confetti tiles were sprinkled throughout the site using syndicated blocks within the CMS used to build their website.
Homepage
The new website successfully transitions the brand from a social media presence to a professional hospitality location.
Block Party Hotels can now rock the block their own way. By reducing the reliance on OTAs and with the addition of the tiled confetti design element, we provided a unique visual rhythm that distinguishes the brand from their competitors, capturing the "celebratory" essence of the stay before guests even arrive.
