The existing website failed to portray the grand southern hospitality that Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa provided to guests.

It lacked any unique elements to convey that sense of space. Pages were bogged down by dense blocks of text, and a busy navigation structure which created friction for users to find what they wanted quickly. The grandness of the property was lost in poor-quality images, and their unique amenities were almost hidden because of the lack of prominent visuals and call-to-actions.

Before

The redesign focused on a visuals-first approach, stripping away the clutter to let the property’s historic charm breathe.

We implemented a complete overhaul of the user experience to reflect that rich, warm, and inviting atmosphere. We replaced text-heavy sections with larger imagery, negative space, art deco elements, and elegant typography to reflect the physical property. The busy navigation menu was also simplified so related content was more properly nested, and a new booking process created an opportunity to feature not just rooms, but also amenities to increase guest engagement and maximize revenue across all of the property's offerings.

Style Guide

The final product is a digital extension of the property itself: rich, warm, and accessible.

By utilizing a warm color palette (light creams, gold, and forest greens), the site immediately communicates luxury and southern hospitality the moment a user lands on the homepage. The Bathhouse and Salon & Spa amenities have been elevated from just descriptions to elegant experiences. These sections include rich visuals to allow the property’s unique offerings to stand out as focal points of the hotel. The simplified navigation led to a direct increase in booking inquiries, and reducing the text to image ratio increases user retention with eye catching anchor points for users to find what they want or to discover something new.
